How to submit an ad
- Go to home page and click on the "Post your free ad" link on the left hand side menu.
- Select the category in which you would like to post your ad.
- Choose the subcategory and location in the next few screens, until you get to the main post form.
- Fill in the blank fields and tick the boxes as required.
- If you tick the box "Do not use this email address for replying" you will need to provide an alternative form of contact for those interested in your ad to get in touch with you.
- Select "Preview".
- A preview page of your ad will appear, review it, make any last minute changes and press "Publish now".
- Read the Terms and Conditions on the next page, then click "I accept the terms and conditions".
- An email with a link will be sent to the email address you provided. When you click on the link in that email, your ad is automatically activated and you will be directed back to it.
- It will appear on the site within 60 seconds.
Your post will remain on Adzooks for 30 days.
How to reply to an ad
- To reply to an ad, click on the reply email address or phone the contact number provided.
- If you get an error message when you click on the address, or you do not recognise the email program that pops up, simply copy the email address and paste it into an outgoing email from your own email account.
How to edit or delete an ad
To edit or delete an ad, follow the link in the activation email you received from Adzooks.
At the moment, you cannot renew an ad.
If you have lost the activation email with the link to your ad, you can request that we delete your ad by emailing delete@adzooks.co.uk
How to include a picture
Currently you can add pictures to your ad in the following categories: Accommodation, Community, For sale and Encounters.
To include a picture, click "Add images" at the bottom of the ad form.
Click button "Browse" to find the path to your image through your computer's directory. You can repeat this process up to four times to include four images.
Select "Upload images" to add the image to your ad.
Then select "Continue to ad preview" to proceed with your ad.
Why do I have to give my email address in the ad form?
When posting an ad you are asked to provide your email address so we can send you an email to activate your ad.
You can choose not to display your email address in your ad by ticking the box "Don't display an email contact". Don't forget to provide an alternative form of contact for users interested in your ad.
I published my ad but I don't see it, what should I do?
After you have published your ad, an email is sent to the email address you have provided in your ad. Check your email account and click on the activation link. Your ad should appear on the site in a few seconds unless there is a long queue of ads to be generated. In that case it will take a only few more minutes.
Make sure you have provided the right email address. If after 30 minutes your ad has still not appeared, please contact support@adzooks.com.uk.
I have not received an email to activate my ad, what should I do?
If you have not received the activation email within a few minutes after publishing your ad, please make sure that:
- You have provided the correct email address
- If you are using a webmail account, you have checked your junk mail folder.
If none of these work, your email provider may be experiencing delays, or having trouble connecting to the Adzooks server.
If your ad doesn't appear on the site within 30 minutes you can email us at support@adzooks.co.uk with the email address you provided when posting your ad.
